Thankyou Go Thassos team for all your effort to get the camera up and running agsin we cant make the trip this year first time since 2004 due to family we will miss it.
the webcam is the window for us until we return next year.
hope that message was a mistake about the government wanting to sell golden beach does anyone know anything about it.

Hi Go-Thassos Team, thanks for the update and no one is in any doubt how hard you are working, as they say all good things come to those who wait.

After much searching..yes!.. We have found a way to re visit Thassos in August. Having to travel to Manchester despite living almost on the doorstep of gatwick. (All Flights full from Gatwick)
This will be our 3rd visit in as many years! Looking forward to eating at Akrogiali - brillianti little family run Taverna half way between Skala panagia and Skala Potamia.
Oh and seeing all at the Nostos again - (Helen? Are you going this summer?)
Wonder if Sue, Trevor, Jane and Dave will be there again?

Hi Graham and Jane,

Here's an update:

-We sent the entire system (consisting of both the camera and the robotic base) to Italy for diagnostics and repairs.

-The company in Italy is the manufacturer of the robotic base and they have informed us that they repaired the circuitry of the base

-Earthcam shipped us a replacement camera from the U.S. because its circuitry was also affected by an electrical event (possibly a power fluctuation during a lightning storm in December)

We have the tracking number for the camera being shipped from the U.S. and it is estimated to arrive on the 16th of June. However, we have not yet received a tracking number for the system from Italy but we have been told that it was shipped.

As this is out of our hands, all we can promise is that the moment the camera system returns from Italy we will get the Live feed of Golden Beach back online asap... believe me, we are as anxious as you are!

Really missing the live view of Golden beach despite the nice still, any further update go thassos team ??, the upside is that the 30th of June is coming up fast.

Just when I thought we weren't going to make it back to Thassos this year due to cost of daughters wedding, the tax man has just delivered us an unexpected present.. Yeah!! Now looking at booking a last minute break hopefully at the Nostos.

Dear Florina, the distance between Skala Potamias and Skala Panagias is about 3,5 kilometers. From the center Skala Potamias (taxi station) to Skala Panagias (cafe Vigli)!!!

ROXANA,That is the question that I want to know now,I have one website, and according to this site, the water temperature today is 21 degrees.I see it every day this website, and is generally about 22.5.I really hope that by the end of June,the water temperature will be at least 25,26 degrees or even more
