When I think of what makes Thassos so magical, it’s the quiet moments—the scent of salt in the air, the slow rhythm of village life, and sunsets that stop you in your tracks. That’s exactly the feeling I want to share with you at Sunset House, my traditional stone home in the heart of Skala Kallirachis.

Imagine waking to the sound of waves, stepping onto your balcony, and seeing the Aegean stretch endlessly before you. Just steps from the beach, Sunset House offers an unobstructed view you’ll never forget. In the evening, that same balcony becomes your private theater for sunsets that paint the sky with warmth and light—a moment I treasure every day.

Our home blends tradition with comfort. The downstairs bedroom sleeps four, with two double beds and a charming marble bathroom. Upstairs, an open-plan living area offers two cozy sofa beds, ideal for a couple or kids, all set against the backdrop of original stone floors. The layout suits two families or a small group of friends, with shared spaces that invite connection and quiet corners for privacy.

Outside, the beach is a peaceful mix of sand and pebbles, with calm, shallow waters perfect for children. You can relax on our sun loungers, or rinse off in the outdoor shower after a swim. The kitchen is fully equipped—with a large fridge, stovetop, and espresso machine—so you can enjoy morning coffee and shared meals together.

Skala Kallirachis is a quiet fishing village where life moves gently. A short stroll brings you to the bakery or mini-market, while the marina and seaside promenade invite you to explore on foot. There are authentic tavernas serving local favorites, and if you’re curious, you can even join a daily fishing excursion from the dock—a lovely glimpse into island heritage.

When you’re ready to explore, the island’s main road is just a few meters away, making day trips easy. But honestly? Many of our guests tell me their favorite days are the ones spent right here—watching the sea, feeling the sun, and enjoying the simplicity of it all.
